Has anyone got a spare Thompson sling I can borrow for CR?
If you want to sling your gun safely you'll need a barrel strengthener. Only

No. The Marui Thompson has a weak point where the barrel meets the receiver. If you use a sling they tend to break as it puts pressure on the joint from the wrong angle.
I sell fixes for said problem meaning you can sling the gun without risk of breaking it....however you have to break the barrel to fit the fix! 
Most people just use the gun until it breaks (because most do), then get the fix.
Unfortunately I don't have a sling to offer you.

It's not urgent. I have a thing about holding onto weapons with at least 1 hand at all times when moving about. I just wanted a sling in case I'm an idiot and drop it, but it sounds like this sling catching it might do more damage than simply dropping it from my shortass height

At The Front in the USA, most of the clothing/boots listed I ordered from there.
There is a set on E-bay I saw, Big size though. Search for M43 and it should show up.

BTW, you want an Enfield sling if you're doing British not the US one. 
I have a US sling that I don't use if you want... I bought it in error when I first started.
2nd mp001 has arrived all systems go.
- British Drivers/Signalling lamp. Working... just ordered a battery for it, the 3R12 flat one.
- replacement (correct) bayonet frog.

It seems I might have an Enfield no4 for CR aswell... :p
I'm getting a sling with the Enfield, I might need to borrow one for the Tommy if I can't get one beforehand...
You use the same sling on both if you're a brit.
